100wc Week 1

Hey, again people. This week the 100wc is a photo

I don't really have a name for it yet... so let's call it STORY

I sat there, looking, staring, studying, wondering. What was it? Why was it there? Who made it? Then, I remembered the tale, the nursery tale. It goes a bit like this.
………
Once upon a time in a land not too far from the one your all thinking of, a tornado was ripping through Rivertown, destroying every. single. thing. in, its, path. Homes were destroyed, people were killed and everything that little town treasured was gone.
………
During the rebuilding, the people of Riverbridge built that statue in remembrance for all that little town of  Riverbridge went through.

100wc

Hi again, this week the 100wc is But what colour should it be? Hope you enjoy

It had been a long day, and the Pollyga family were sitting on the couch, ordering something for their new house. They have finally come to a decision. They were getting… a couch. “But wait,” said Molly Pollyga the toddler. “What colour should it be?”

“Well I think it should be baby blue,” said Lilly Pollyga the teenager.

“No way… It's definitely going to be Lellow,” said Maya Pollyga the young child

“No, no, no,” said mother and father Pollyga. “ It's definitely going to be cream, to match the rest of the house.”

“Your all wrong, It definitely needs to be MAGENTA,” I said with excitement

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,” yelled everybody.

Speeches

over the past few weeks, the senior school has been working on speeches. the way speeches work at our school is, you present your speech to the class, then the winner of your class speech competition goes on to the school speech competition, then the winner of that goes on to the Papatoetoe schools speech competition and so on.

Now this is my speech I didn't want to be part of the speech competition so I will do my speech in the next few days with the other people in the class
  here is my speech.

Why break time should be longer…

Have you ever been playing a game, when suddenly the bell goes? Break time is way too short, we never have enough time to finish our game. This is why I think break time should be longer.

First, you’ll have more time to play and, be part of clubs. Playing is great exercise for growing bodies, and brains. Being outside also gets children to enjoy their surroundings, they get fresh air, and they have something to do other than being on a device.

Children these days are always glued to a device, that results in them being unfit and lazy. Having longer breaks gives children more time to run around and get fit. Going back to having time to be part of clubs. Sports Teams, like rugby, soccer, swimming, gymnastics and more, get time to train and prepare and learn new skills.

Second, we won't have to gulp down our food quickly, so we have time to play. We can enjoy our food and still have lots of time to play. Eating fast, and rushing to eat your food, leads to poor digestion, and you will still feel hungry after.

Third, we need to make friends, don't we? Well… How will we make friends if we don't even have time to finish a game? Friendships are a big part of interacting and learning. When children make friends, they develop important life skills.

Have you ever had trouble concentrating or remembering something? Second of all, being outside, running around, stretching your legs all helps with your concentration and memory. Concentration and memory are key when writing, reading and working out problems. Have you ever had trouble concentrating or remembering something?

In conclusion, longer break times are great because you have more time to play, eat, make friends and you will be able to concentrate better. What do you think, should we have longer break time?

Tiritiri Matangi

Here is my latest story

On Thursday the 9th of August, Room 14 and Room 23 went to Tiritiri Matangi. Tiritiri Matangi is a nature sanctuary, full of birds and is introduced predator free. That means there are no stotes, rats of possums. It was a great experience and we learnt a lot.

Rules

Tiritiri Matangi is introduced predator free, and they want to stay that way. So before you get on the ferry, you have to wipe all the soil off your shoes, make sure you have no seeds on you, and that you are not carrying any mice, rats or rainbow skinks. When entering the island you go through very light biosecurity, compared to places like little barrier reef, where the even check your shoelaces.

Birdlife

On Tiritiri Matangi there are many types of bird species. From the endemic birds, like Takahe, little-spotted kiwi, rifleman and many more, to the native birds, like Morepork, Pukeko and many more. If you ever go to Tiritiri Matangi try and find some of these amazing birds.

The amazing thing

The amazing thing about Tiritiri Matangi is that everything is for the birds, the trees, the nests, and the dirt. On our guided walk, we were told that everything that was on the trees was for the birds and everything that was on the ground we could touch. So we could pick up the leaves that had fallen and things like that.

You should really go to Tiritiri Matangi sometime.

Write a of poem that starts with the word Hello

Hi there... AGAIN. I have been looking through my term 2 writing and I found this poem. It was written from this prompt... Write a poem that starts with the word Hello

Hello I am here.
I'm here.
Where am I?
I am here.

Hello, do you know me?
Do you know her?
Do you know him?
Do you know me?

Random

Hi there, I did this piece of writing for fun last term. It never really turned into a story, but I thought I would share it with you anyway.

Bang! My hand hits the table. Scrape! I picked up all the dust as my hand brushed across the table. Smash! Mum’s glass vase hit the tiled floor. I heard from upstairs “It wasn't me, Skylar did it.”

100 WC

Special prompt #2 (18)

This is a magic door. You have to decide where it is, who put it there, what it leads to & what happens when you walk through it!

On my walk I came across a door. Now I couldn't of just left it their, could I ? As I opened the door and looked down the portal, I wondered. Who lives there? What do they do? Is there another me?

With all of those questions, I had to jump down the portal. It was a big drop. I saw Pocket watches, Ripped books, and much more. This portal was sooooooooooooooo long that I practically fell asleep, but then I hit the bottom. Scrambling to my feet, My mouth was wide open and my jaw had hit the ground. I couldn't believe what I saw.

Certain death, who wants a ringside seat

Recently room 14 has started reading a new book. It is Certain death, Who Wants A Ringside Seat, written by Tanya Landman. This book is part of a series about to 12-year-old kids that always seem to get caught up in murder. Our class has written some theories. Some crazy and some quite cool.
I hope you enjoy my theory. 🎔

It has to be Alonzo. He hired someone to kill a random victim in the audience, to make it look like an accident. Then when he was alone with Carlotta, Alonzo said something to Carlotta to make her angry and when Carlotta ran out with a kitchen knife, with Alonzo running behind it made it look like Carlotta was guilty and Alonzo was innocent. I think Alonzo is the murderer, and he will try to frame everyone for what he did.

Leopard Tennis Shop Purple Grabbed

This week we got to do any 100wc we wanted to. So I flicked back a choose this one Leopard  Tennis  Shop  Purple  Grabbed. Can you guess how many words?

I grabbed my keys and walked to my car. I was off to the river bridge purple shop to get my bestie Lulu a birthday present, but when I got there Lulu was there waiting for me. I knew she would track me down, she always does.

Lulu and I first met in a professional dog grooming competition. She came up to me and took my good luck charm it was a leopard print purple tennis racket. After I convinced her to give it back, we started talking. We found we had so much in common so we became best friends.

Now that I think about it I don't need to buy her anything. I have the perfect gift right here in my pocket.
